Private Addiction Rehab

Private rehab centres are residential facilities where people can stay while they detox from drugs or alcohol and receive therapy to help them return to their lives prepared for a clean and sober future.

These include bedrooms, living areas and kitchens as well as treatment rooms and recreation all in one place. This means you can stay within the safe and alcohol and drug free space of the centre.

Private rehabs are paid for not by the NHS but by the person staying or their health insurance. This gives you more choice and flexibility in where and when you go in. You can usually get admitted to a private rehab centre within a day or two and avoid the waiting list that free or charity-run rehabs have.

Cost of Private Rehab

The price of staying in a private rehab is an important factor when you are choosing where to go. Getting the right treatment is the priority but don’t cause unneeded stress by worrying that rehab is outside of your budget.

Detox Plus can help you find the best rehab within your budget. Private rehab can range in price from a few thousand pounds to tens of thousands. The difference between rehabs is mainly due to the location and accommodation.

If you are willing to compromise on where and consider sharing accommodation, then you can get excellent treatment at an affordable price.

With a bigger budget, you can be choosier about where you want to stay and have more facilities and luxurious surroundings. Rehabs abroad are also an option, and many destinations in Spain, Cyprus, and South Africa are cost-effective and easy to travel to.

Private rehab starts at around £2,000 a week and can cost up to £10,000 a week for a very luxurious place

Cost of Private Drug Rehab

The cost of private drug rehab can be a little more restrictive than alcohol treatment if you are addicted to a very niche or unusual drug. Or have been mixing drugs which will need specific treatment.

More common drugs such as cocaine, opiates and prescription medication are widely treated. The amount you use is relevant as well. Heavier users may need more intensive medical supervision and specific prescriptions to manage withdrawal.

Cost of Private Alcohol Rehab

Alcohol is the most widely treated addiction in the UK rehabs. It is the most common dependence, and the only restriction on which rehab you choose will depend on how much you have been drinking.

Most private rehabs are well-equipped to deal with the severe withdrawal symptoms that come with stopping heavy drinking. These are quite easy medications to get, and you will find a wide variety of rehabs for alcohol available at a range of costs

Private Rehab Hospitals

Different levels of rehab facilities are available. Depending on what you need medically, you can stay in a low supervision centre, meaning you will be well looked after but with less medical intervention available.

People with severe medical needs or mental health issues that need intensive supervision may need to go to a rehab hospital. There are also hybrid rehab centres and hospitals. There may be a detox unit with more intense medical supervision and a rehabilitation unit which is more relaxed and homely.

Private Alcohol Rehabs

Some rehab centres are only for alcohol rehab, and others are mixed with drug and behavioural addiction. It is possible to stay in alcohol-only rehabs if you prefer.

This can be helpful for sharing. Many things about addiction are the same for alcohol and drugs, but when sharing and roleplaying, it can be easier to deal with people in a similar situation.

The other advantage of alcohol rehab is that the facilities and treatments are specialised for this addiction.

Private Drug Rehabs

Drug rehab can be more complicated when it comes to finding somewhere to treat you. Unlike alcohol, there are many different kinds of drugs that people are addicted to.

Every rehab centre may not treat the drug you are addicted to. How much of the drug you are taking and if you are mixing can mean some rehabs may not be able to help you.

When you speak to our advisors, they will take note of how much and what drugs you are taking and compare this against the limits of the database of UK rehabs that we use.

They will only book you into a rehab that can deal with your symptoms and offer the right treatment for you.

Facilities in Private Rehabs

Treatment should be similar between rehab centres, but facilities will differ. Where you choose to go is relevant to the facilities available. You should think about what you want available during your rehab stay.

Local Facilities

A rural rehab might be best for you if you want peace and distance. Countryside activities such as hiking, fishing and animal therapy are more accessible in more isolated rehab centres.

Visitors can be important, too. Your support network might find it easier to visit you in a more central location. Local facilities like gyms, swimming pools and shops are also available in towns and cities. The rehab staff supervises and plans regular use of these facilities.

In house facilities

Facilities and staff are what makes each rehab unique. There are lots of special ways rehab centres encourage and support their core treatment program. Below are some of the most common facilities.

Exercise facilities – health and fitness are linked to rehabilitation. Many rehab centres have their own gyms, and some even a swimming pool or spa. One of the symptoms of addiction is losing interest in other things and not taking care of yourself.

Exercise also improves your mental health, helps clear your head, and gives a sense of achievement and enjoyment of something other than drugs or alcohol.

Holistic Therapies

The range of holistic therapies is enormous in private rehabs. Some offer a full massage, aromatherapy, yoga, and meditation menu. Others may be more limited or offer something specific, such as animal therapy, cold water therapy, or sound baths.

Spiritual Therapies

Depending on the rehab you choose, the treatment may include a spiritual element. This is optional, but if you are interested in a specific spiritual experience, our team can help you find a rehab that offers it.

Mainstream spiritual approaches, like Christian Rehab, are widely available, but there are other approaches, such as Buddhism, agnosticism, and simply accepting a higher power.

Finding Private Rehab Centres

Now that you know all about private rehab, the question remains: how do you find a rehab near you for the right price and everything you need to help your addiction?

There are no public databases of all the rehab facilities in the UK, which can make finding the right centre difficult. Our experts are all former rehab centre staff and have a deep knowledge of treatments and locations that may be suitable for you or a loved one.

We can guide you through the different factors and what is on offer. It is worth considering where you want to go, what your budget is and any dealbreakers when it comes to staying in rehab.
